LONG STAYS · OCTOBER TO APRIL

Trade winter for sunshine: a week, a month, or the whole season

Gran Canaria keeps a mild temperature all winter long, with sunshine practically guaranteed even in January. Villa Mirador de Arucas is the perfect base for a long stay: plenty of space, a full kitchen so you're not eating out every day, and all the peace of mind of a private home instead of a hotel room.

Why Gran Canaria for the winter season

Stable climate all year round

Known as "the miniature continent", Gran Canaria offers pleasant temperatures from October to April, while most of Europe is below freezing.

A home, not a room

Full kitchen, spacious living room, terraces and a private pool — everything you need to feel properly settled in, not just passing through.

Room to work or switch off

Wifi throughout the property and quiet corners for anyone combining a long stay with remote work.

No rush of a short stay

With a week or more ahead of you, there's time to explore the island at your own pace: northern beaches, Las Canteras, inland villages, no check-out stress.

The villa, your winter retreat

During a long stay, where you live matters as much as where you go. Villa Mirador de Arucas has 7 bedrooms and sleeps 14 across more than 400 m² built on a private 5,000 m² plot, so no one gets in anyone's way even after weeks. The covered panoramic terrace, with a dining table for 14 and a chill-out area, becomes the real living room of the house during the Canarian winter: you can have breakfast outside on almost any morning of the year.

Built for a comfortable stay

The villa has private parking for several vehicles and an electric car charging point. Wifi covers the whole property, and the kitchen is fully equipped so you can cook just like at home throughout your stay. Gran Canaria airport is 33 km away, the northern beaches 8 km, and Las Canteras (Las Palmas) 14 km — well connected, yet with all the calm of a residential area away from the tourist bustle.

A corner to switch off — or to work remotely

The house also has a second living room / den with a desk and library, ideal for anyone who needs a quiet space for a few hours of remote work before heading back to the pool or out to explore. With wifi across the whole property and spots as varied as the terrace, the garden or this little study, every member of the group finds their own rhythm during a long stay.

Ideal for...

  • Anyone looking to escape the European cold for several weeks or months
  • Families combining a long holiday with remote work
  • Retirees spending the winter in the Canary Islands, looking for something more spacious than an apartment
  • Groups wanting to split the cost of a long stay between several families

Explore the inland villages and the coast, unhurried

A stay of several weeks gives you time to really get to know Gran Canaria, well beyond what fits into a weekend break. Just minutes from the villa is Arucas, with its neo-Gothic Basilica and the Arehucas Rum Factory; a little further out, inland villages like Teror, with its traditional Canarian wooden balconies and Sunday market, or Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, just 14 km away, with Las Canteras beach and its 3 km seafront promenade. You can read our full guide on what to see and do in Arucas to plan your first few days.
